The State Bank of Travancore’s first Prathibha Samman awards, instituted for outstanding contributions in humanitarian activities and charity work, were presented to Philipose Mar Chrysostom Metropolitan and E. Sreedharan here on Saturday.
The awards carried a gold medal, bronze memento and citation. State Planning Board vice-chairman K.M. Chandrasekhar presented the awards to the two winners at a function chaired by P. Nandakumaran, managing director, SBT. Mr. Nandakumaran presented gold medals and Sajeev Krishnan and E.K. Harikumar, chief general managers, presented the citations to the award recipients.
