Members of Sramika Mahila Coordination Committee will extend support to Boddu Nageswara Rao, who is in fray from Krishna-Guntur districts Graduates Constituency from Progressive Democratic Front (PDF).
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Sramika Mahila city unit convenor Ch.V.R. Kusuma said that the committee members working in South Central Railway, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, schools, Anganwadi centres, mid-day meals, Asha workers, ANMs, e-Seva, 104 and 108 emergency services and Peerless are extending support for the PDF candidate. The PDF MLCs conducted a number of agitations for the past six years for women, who are in big numbers in contract and outsourced employment in various departments.
The Council members are not facing any allegations during their six-year-term term, and succeeded in solving the problems of women in organised and unorganised sectors, said Ms. Kusuma.
Later, the Sramika Mahila women working in 12 different departments released a wall poster of Mr. Bhaskara Rao, and launched campaign for him. They appealed to the graduates to cast their first priority vote for the PDF candidate.
