Union Jack shines




Union Jack, Courage In Red, Showin’off and Cape Ferrat shone when the horses were exercised here on Saturday morning (Sept. 22).


Inner sand:


1,200m: African Queen (Nausad) 1-21, 1,000/1-7.5, 600/41. In fine trim. Casanova (R. Marshall) 1-21.5, 1,000/1-8.5, 600/41. Moved on the bit. Prince Of Darkness (rb), Faith And Toil (rb) 1-24, (1,200-600) 40. They moved well.


1,400m: Jaanvi (Vivek) 1-32.5, (1,400-600) 49.5. Impressed. Yourewindsofchange (Vivek) 1-34, 1,200/1-21, 1,000/1-8.5, 600/41.5. In fine shape.


1,600m: Alcazaar (R. Marshall), Anonymous (F. Da Silva) 1-52, 1,400/1-37.5, 1,200/1-24, 1,000/1-11, 600/41. They moved freely.


Outer sand:


600m: Will Still (Vivek) 45.5. Easy.


1,000m: Sudden Magic (Ashok Kumar) 1-16, 600/45.5. Moved well. Jeyem’s Pride (rb) 1-13.5, 600/44. Moved impressively. Sweet Angel (Prabhakaran) 1-15, 600/43.5. Worked well. Cape Ferrat (Faisal) 1-12, 600/43.5. Pleased.


1,200m: Cowboy Cal (rb), Deccan Charges (Vivek) 1-27, 1,000/1-12, 600/45. They finished level. North Cape (P. Ramesh) 1-31, 1,000/1-14, 600/44. In fine condition.


1,400m: Union Jack (rb), Simply Phenomenal (Imam) 1-44, 1,200/1-26, 1,000/1-11, 600/43.5. Former started five lengths behind and finished eight lengths ahead. Showin’off (R. Marshall) 1-38.5, 1,200/1-23.5, 1,000/1-9.5, 600/42. Moved attractively. Courage In Red (Nausad) 1-37, 1,200/1-23, 1,000/1-9, 600/42. A fine display.
