MCC finishes second in the men’s category; Ethiraj emerges women’s runner up
Loyola College (102 points) and MOP Vaishnav College (127) clinched the men’s and women’s championship titles in the three-day A.L. Mudaliar athletics meet, which concluded at the Nehru Stadium here on Wednesday.
MCC (51) finished second in the men’s category, while Ethiraj (39) emerged runner-up in the women’s section.
Binu Aquito (200m), Diwahar Raja (discus throw) and J. Surendhar (110m hurdles) etched their names with new marks. The women’s 4x400m relay mark was bettered by MOP Vaishnav.
The awards for the best male and female athletes, it was announced, would be given at a later date.
W.I. Davaram, President, Tamil Nadu Athletics Association, gave away the prizes.
