Mumbai qualified for the final of the All India women’s cricket tournament (under-19) with a narrow, two-wicket win over Hyderabad in the final round match here on Monday. Mumbai will face Bengal in the final at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal on October 31.
The scores: Madhya Pradesh 168 for eight (Neha Badaik 39, Tamanna Nigam 43, Sneh Rana four for 27) bt Punjab 148 (Taniya Bhatia 54, Neelam Bist 34, Preeti Yadav four for 26).
Maharashtra 149 (Smriti Mandana 61, G. Chandralekha three for 35) lost to Andhra 152 for three (Ch. Jhansi Lakshmi 42, N. Anusha 43 n.o.).
Hyderabad 98 lost to Mumbai 99 for eight (Praneesha three for 15).
Uttar Pradesh 99 (Harleen Kaur Deol four for 19) bt Himachal Pradesh 81 (Deepti Sharma three for 16).
