Local body leaders from Idukki district staged a protest against the discussion of the Gadgil panel report at KILA on Thursday. They said a report that was rejected by the Assembly could not be discussed at the institute.
They said the report was anti-farmer and anti-development. They raised slogans against chairman of the Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel Madhav Gadgil, member V.S. Vijayan and KILA director P.P. Balan.
Later they walked out of the meeting.
