For the first time all the departments in Andhra University College of Engineering have come together to host a four-day national-level tech-fest ‘i-genesis’ from September 5.
Launching the official website of the tech fest www.igenesis.in here on Thursday, principal and chairman of the festival G.S.N. Raju said that IIT-Bombay has agreed to be part of the event and a huge gathering of over 8,000 students and academicians from across the country is expected to attend the fest.
Giving a brief of the tech fest, he said that a number of events such as junkyard war, paper presentation, quizzes, expos, guest lectures, robotic workshop and cultural nights will mark the four-day festival. The dean student affairs Y. Ramakrishna informed the press that the event will open up an opportunity for the young techies to explore and experience various aspects such as communication skills and engineering and re-engineering skills. A two-day pre-workshop on ethical hacking will be held from August 18.
