The brother of a person who died at Marakkanam on April 25 has filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking a CBI probe into the death. The petitioner has alleged that his brother was murdered.
P.Selvam said he and his brother, Selvaraj, and other villagers were travelling to Mamallapuram to participate in the Chitrai Festival on April 25. When the vehicle was near Marakkanam, around 3 p.m, nearly 100 persons armed with deadly weapons waylaid his vehicle.
